Zapier
LiveRenderly's Zapier integration lets you automate video rendering as part of any workflow. When an event happens in one of Zapier's 7,000+ connected apps — a new lead in your CRM, a row added to a spreadsheet, or a form submission — Zapier can automatically trigger a video render in Renderly. Choose from your projects or system templates, map dynamic variables like names, images, and text, and receive webhook notifications when your video is ready. No code required.
Triggers & Actions
Events that start your workflow and actions you can automate with Zapier.
Create Video Render
Start a new video render from any of your projects or system templates. Map dynamic variables like headlines, images, and background videos directly from your Zap's trigger data.
Get Render Status
Check the current status of any render job — including progress percentage, output URL, file size, and credits consumed.
Render Completed
Fires instantly when a video render finishes successfully. Use it to trigger downstream actions like sending an email, updating a database, or posting to social media.
Render Failed
Fires when a render job fails, so you can automatically notify your team, retry the job, or log the error for debugging.
How It Works
Get up and running with Zapier in a few simple steps.
Get your Renderly API key
Go to your Renderly dashboard, navigate to Settings → API Keys, and generate a new API key. You'll need this to connect Zapier to your account.
Add Renderly to your Zap
In Zapier, search for "Renderly" when adding a new action or trigger step. Select the Renderly app to get started.
Connect your account
Paste your API key when prompted. Zapier will verify the connection and display your account email and available credits.
Choose your trigger or action
Select from available triggers (Render Completed, Render Failed) or actions (Create Video Render, Get Render Status) depending on your workflow.
Map your dynamic variables
When creating a render, select a project or template. Zapier will automatically load the available dynamic variables — map them to data from your trigger step.
Test and activate your Zap
Run a test to make sure everything works, then turn on your Zap. Every time your trigger fires, Renderly will automatically render a video with your mapped data.
Example Workflow
Auto-render welcome videos for new signups
When a new user signs up through your app, automatically generate a personalized welcome video with their name and company, then email it to them.
- 1A new user signs up via your app (triggers a webhook or CRM entry)
- 2Zapier catches the event and extracts the user's name, email, and company
- 3Zapier triggers a Renderly render using your welcome video project, passing name and company as dynamic variables
- 4Renderly renders the personalized video and fires a webhook when complete
- 5Zapier catches the completion event and sends the video URL to the user via email
