What do I need to make the dev tool / cli video?
A CLI, an SDK or an API, where the install line and the first successful run are the whole pitch. No screenshots at all: a logo, a name, a tagline and three short lines are the whole input.
Is there a watermark over the video?
No. The footage is clean. There is a small 'Made with renderly.video' credit on the final frame, and it stays - that credit is the only thing we get back from a tool that costs us a render and asks you for nothing, so it is what keeps this free.
Why does the preview here look less smooth than the example?
The preview runs the video live in your browser, so it depends on your machine. The file you download is rendered on our servers at full quality and is always smooth - the example video on the previous page is a real render from this same template.
Can I use it outside Product Hunt?
Yes. Clear the launch line and the orange Product Hunt badge disappears with it, leaving a general-purpose launch video for X, LinkedIn, a landing page or an email.
How long does the download link last?
